Stories and highlights
At our school, there is always something to celebrate! From fun events to proud moments and everyday successes, we work hard to make each school year full of special experiences. At Blacktown South Public School, we invite families to be part of our school community and share in their child’s achievements. Here are some of the highlights from our year.
A year at our school
Book Week
During Book Week, teachers and students come together to celebrate the joy of reading and the countless adventures found within books. Everyone joins the fun by dressing up as their favourite characters, sparking imagination and a love for storytelling.
NAIDOC Week
At Blacktown South Public School, NAIDOC Week is a special time to honour and celebrate the rich culture, history, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through engaging activities and learning experiences, our students gain a deeper understanding and respect for Indigenous heritage and traditions.
Shooting Star Assemblies
Shooting Star Assemblies at our school celebrate students who demonstrate being Safe, Respectful, and Learners in our school community. These assemblies recognise and inspire positive behaviour, encouraging all students to shine brightly in their learning journey.
"The activities at BSPS are well organised and the best part is the way in which the staff and teachers make us welcome.....it really feels like a family. ” — a parent of Blacktown South Public School
